Could it be True?

America: A Christian Nation?

I live in today. Not all founding fathers were slave owners. But Blacks ended up the way they did and still do. In a cause and effect situation, it does appear all were. When men and or women of goodwill stay quiet while evil rules, by default; their silence is taken as consent.

I have no idea what is the value of emphasizing America as a Christian nation: when and if convenient, we deal with every nation that has something to offer; no matter their overwhelming religious leanings and practices. Do we in America simply say: Only Christians Allowed?

We say 'In God We Trust' on the dollar, but if the dollar is coming from non-Christian believers and practitioners, we hardly say no. Americans make no bone about getting some of their investment money from the Middle East (Arabs Muslims and Christians) and begging for their oil. Not only did George W. Bush hold hands with Saudi folks - from a Muslim nation, but he also hugged and embraced them; like Oliver Twist, 'I want so MORE'! America wants the most and best of relations with no christian India and China.

Though religious, we submit to the rules of men and women who dictate our economy  and often treat us as if there is no God. Slavery was heightened in Africa by the missionaries who during the day showed the Bible but at night used bribery and barbaric practices to secure their goods in human inventory. Please compare and contrast, and when you are done reconcile the conflicts of interest.

Whatever Blacks did in the past that are glorious or not so glorious, the facts remain that in today's world, the blacks, no matter their geography, are looked upon as the first step to step-on when anyone wants to make a move and the last one to remember when they make their final move. When we are remembered and treated, we are treated with scorn and distaste. If one is consumed with the pursuit of religion but ends up not being able to feed one's self or family, what good is the religion?

I am not impressed with any religion as preached due to its values and virtues. There are wicked and mean prophets who throughout history used religion to destroy and wreck havoc upon their fellow beings. I understand that respect is reciprocal, and since we all are created by God, it is no one's business to dictate superiority of any religion over another. If God is an impartial God, who are we to show partiality by judging and treating others as lesser beings?

As Bush was winding down on his 8 years, he indicated that most stuff in the Bible is not worth a flip. Had he said that before his first or second terms, would the evangelicals who voted for him have sought another prophet?

Everyone is easily dispensed when expedient; and the founding fathers made no qualms about such practice. Not all men are evil doers but it does appear those who are not evil allow the handful that are, to get their way and 'when due and necessary,' use religion to do so.

Whether Christian nation or not, what has that got to do with the price of bread or the fact that many are struggling today and have no clue what to believe these days? And when a Christian is on life-support needing an organ or blood, none would say No to a donation from a non-Christian.

When life appears terminal, we grasp for whatever we can hold on to for a little longer! Show me an Italian who does not like SPAGHETTI and I will show you a Custom officer that never took a bribe!
