We are concerned about the current trend in the politics of Kenya, to the effect that the 'born-again' concept is being borrowed from church, only to confuse and convince citizenry about what they cannot see.
Some politicians who played a totally disuniting role in the run up to the previous general election, the post-election violence and the signing of the National Accord; have suddenly changed tunes. The question is whether this is a true reflection of their change of heart or simply a public show in preparation for 2012!
It is true that inner change is always reflected on the outside, but the reverse is not always the case, especially in the politics of this country from time immemorial. Citizens are not in position to confuse change of brand name for total repackaging of a given commodity. Our challenge to these politicians who are busy displaying their “born-again” politics is for them to demonstrate complete adjustment of the ingredients, respective proportions and the resulting new product. Kenyans risk confusing hyena for sheep.
Yet there are some who have well made steps to the altar and declared their new spiritual status. This implies first that: As far as eternal life is concerned, such declaration assures one of his candidature for heaven. Secondly, with respect to life on earth, this means repentance of previous misdeeds and opening of a fresh page with change of heart and intention. The former is totally an issue of personal relation between one and his maker.
In the event that the former ways have been put behind and everything is new, then we expect no more loss of maize under the oversight of such leaders. As a matter of fact, we expect the low price maize flour at Ksh 52 to soon flood the market to the relief of all Kenyans who are dying of hunger. Other expected indicators of the inner change as reflected on the outside spearheading the campaign for Members of Parliament to pay tax, unraveling scandals such as the Triton Oil Saga in which the country lost amounts that could ensure no Kenyan dies of hunger at a time like this. These are just but few examples.
Over and above all, we do not expect more scandals under the oversight of born-again national leadership and leaders. We continue watching with both eyes, to see the impact of Born-again politicians on the politics of this country. At the same time, we are watching to see the effect of born-again politics on the life of Mwananchi. In the same spirit, we continue to mobilize citizens in looking forward to positive trends accruing to born-again politics and politicians of this nation.

Migingo: Has Museveni Taken Over Kenya?
Mr. Oketch, you are right to feel angry about Museveni. But boundary disputes between states are normally solved at the International Court of Justice and not by guns. I think both states should refer the Dispute to the ICJ.
MAN you are day dreaming! The hands that rigged elections in Dec. 2007, are part of those that have invaded your island. and in any case your under the command of UPDF. That is why those who are protected cannot point a hand when their people are being taxed. Please People must raise up.
Will Kenya become a Failed State?
Kenya became a failed state in 2003 by electing a guy with no leadership credentials. He has slowly overseen the rapid decline of Kenya and is still at it.
Are the Middle Class an Answer to Kenya's Woes?
I like it Odhiambo. We need people like you in every quantum of our society to change this country.
A Sickle Cell Remedy: Why are Firms Holding Up Production?
It It is still possible to save Xkem if Dr Pandey is reinstated as CEO and oust Dr Swift who has run down this company for greed. He should be punished by the law. I believe Dr Pandey is trying to take control of Xkem again but is finding it hard due to Swift's false accusations. Swift is a disgrace to humanity.
