Is Africa Ready for Leaders of Tomorrow? It was the youth that voted in large numbers in the 2007 general elections, it was the youth that barricaded the roads and it was still the youth that caused mayhem to express outrage. With passed generations under same leadership, the society keeps whispering to them ‘you are leaders of tomorrow’ could it be that they are tired of waiting, or does leadership need a new definition?
To shed light on the issue, the Inter Region Economic Network (IREN) will host a debate on ‘Is Africa ready for leaders of tomorrow’ between Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) Kenya Universities to commemorate the 2008 Africa day.
Set for 25th May 2008 (4pm-8.30pm) at the Panafric Hotel Nairobi-Kenya, the open forum will focus on the future of African leadership by exploring what the young generation perceives as tomorrows leadership in Africa and the challenges they face.
Each SIFE teams will make a 10 minute presentation and the audience will vote the best team based on content and presentation skills. A prize of Ksh 10,000 will be awarded to the winners at the end of the forum. Mr. James Shikwati will deliver the keynote address.
IREN invites you to join other Kenyans in the debate to mark the 2008 Africa Day.
