Debate is raging in the international circles about the ownership of the African Executive. While pardoning some of the contributors for questioning the ability of the African person to be rational, I would like to inform our readers who might have missed our inaugural issue which indicated this history of our flag ship online magazine.
The African Executive is one of the products of the Inter Region Economic Network (IREN). The IREN team transformed its 4 year weekly newsletter into an online magazine to provide an African voice in the development related debate. The agenda of this online magazine is to celebrate African entrepreneurs and at the same time point out factors that impede growth of business in Africa.
We welcome contributions of ideas from any part of the world as long as the ideas offer insights on the way forward for Africa. We are still developing a system where our subscribers can track the writer's identity but we do not guarantee accuracy of such information. However, our main focus is on providing a forum to idea generators. Please note that our full contacts are provided on our website. As to the question about the IREN team, we are in the final stages of uploading our new parent IREN Kenya website http://www.irenkenya.com/ which will provide all the necessary details.
I take this opportunity to thank all our subscribers for their useful suggestions. Please help us reach out to more friends.
Sincerely
James Shikwati
Director Inter Region Economic Network
African Executive General Manager
