Kenya is at the threshold of rebirth. The country will not remain the same whether Kenyans vote in favour of or against the proposed draft constitution. It is a fact that Kenyans are increasingly getting aware that they must craft the content of the constitution that governs their country. It therefore behooves interested parties in this process of rebirth to exercise utmost sobriety.
The proposed constitution is out for all to read, interpret and make an informed decision during the impending referendum. This decision ought to be based on sound issues but not fear.
Kenya will not cease to be after the referendum. Leaders should consequently seek to persuade the electorate to vote for or against the document with reason as opposed to inflamed passions; hate speech and intimidation. If the zeal demonstrated by the International Criminal Court is anything to go by, antagonists should be warned that justice will soon catch up with them.
