Kagera Tourism Development Association (KATODEA) will be attending the 2006 Karibu Tanzania Travel and Tourism Fair in Arusha June 2-5 to market Kagera region’s tourism. KATODEA seeks to score real opportunities in tourism arrivals and to promote the interest of tourist investors so they can invest in Kagera region.
The trade fair will be an opportunity to increase both trade and consumer awareness of Kagera’s tourist attractions by showcasing the product they have. Potential investors, tour operators, journalists, photographers and other interested parties will be registering for a familiarization tour of Kagera’s attractions in September 2006. Videos, films and other exhibits that show the appeal of Kagera to tourists will be displayed.
A special closed forum branded “Kagera full of Tourism Promise forum” will be held at the show ground where invited persons and companies will attend a special presentation including a question and answer session. The overall aim of the forum will be to show case Kagera as a potential tourist favorite region. The forum will be co hosted by KATODEA, KARIBU Tourism FAIR organizers, Small and Medium Enterprises Competitive Facility (SCF) and will be supervised by experienced marketing experts.
Kagera region is a springboard to the four neighboring countries: Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda and Burundi. It forms an excellent business centre it once was before the change of in coffee trade policies of the late sixties. It has unmatched panoramic sites and pleasant climate.
