KIM Fetes SMEs

The Kenya Institute of Management (KIM), one of only four private national management development institutes in Sub-Saharan Africa has been conducting the Company of the Year (COYA) programme since 2000 - a programme that has grown to be East Africa's premiere showcase  for corporate excellence. In recognition of the important role played by SMEs in driving a nation's economy, KIM introduced the KIM Annual Biashara Awards (KABA) as an effort to give attention to SMEs. In the maiden KABA Gala  Night held at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre on October 24, 2008, and presided upon by Engineer Dr. Silas Njiru (PS, Ministry of Trade and Industry) on behalf of Trade and Industry Minister Hon. Uhuru Kenyatta, the following SMEs won awards in various categories:
