Africa Project Logistics Awards 2010 – Call for Entries

The inaugural Africa Project Logistics Awards will be held in Nairobi, Kenya on 29th October 2010. This recognition event for the freight forwarding industry is envisioned to become a well-established event, sponsored by some eminent companies and seeks to award outstanding companies in this sector.

 

The awards are organized by Suffron Business Intelligence, a leading provider of business information and research for the freight forwarding industry in Africa. The competition encourages and rewards high standards and professionalism, representing the ultimate recognition of special achievements in different categories of the industry.

 

The 2010 Awards will be open for entries on 17 March and we welcome submissions from the following categories:

 

1. Project Cargo / Heavy Lift Forwarder of the Year

2. Project of the Year (Sea freight)

3. Project of the Year (Airfreight)

4. Airport of the Year

5. Seaport of the Year

6. Project Cargo Carrier of the Year (Sea freight)

7. Project Cargo Carrier of the Year (Air freight)

8. Information Technology Award

9. Transport / Handling Equipment of the Year

10. Africa Project Logistics / Heavy Lift Personality of the Year

11. Project Logistics / Heavy Lift Logistics Network of the Year

12. Green Logistics Initiative Award

13. Project Finance Bank of the Year

14. Humanitarian / Relief Project Logistics Award

15. Entrepreneurship Award

 

Closing date for entries is 1 June 2010.

 

Awards Reception will be held at the Hilton Hotel, in Nairobi, on 29 October 2010.  The Africa Project Logistics Awards will be co-located with the 1st International Freight Forwarders Conference and Logistics Cooperation Forum to be held in Nairobi from 26 October to 28 October, 2010. The conference will bring together freight forwarders Africa and the rest of the world. The conference will provide a networking opportunity between African freight forwarding companies and members of the China Logistics Club, an independent membership association of freight forwarders from over 80 countries.
