East Africa's Youth Converge in Nairobi

The Inter Region Economic Network (IREN) will host its 4th Africa Think Tank forum on October 1 - 2, 2010 at the Pan Afric Hotel, Nairobi,from 7.30 am. This year's focus is on East African students and young professionals. The forum has attracted over 40 youth mainly from Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania with diverse backgrounds that include university undergraduates, Small and Medium sized Enterprise owners, Advocacy groups, and staff from various government departments in the region.

The keynote address on "Turning East Africa's Challenges to Business Opportunities" will be delivered by Mr. David Nalo, CBS, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of East African Community (Kenya). Other facilitators include Oduor Ongwen (Director SEATINI Kenya), Prof. Henry Thairu (VC Inoorero University) and James Shikwati (Founder Director, IREN, and CEO of The African Executive Magazine). Participants will also brainstorm on key strategies on how to increase prosperity and dialogue among the people of East Africa.
