Last Friday, November 11, 2005, The Christian Monitor, Abraham McLaughlin, Johannesburg Bureau Chief, visited the IREN Kenya office and toured IREN project on \'How Business can conquer poverty\' in Makueni District Eastern Kenya. Jacqueline Sungu left for Berlin to represent IREN Kenya in a two week seminar hosted by an International Academy for Leadership. James Shikwati launched the new African Nazarene University SIFE \'cabinet\' on Tuesday Nov. 15 in a special chapel service for SIFE students. Mr. Shikwati will be attending the Economic Freedom Network workshop in Oman where he will make a presentation on Reclaiming Africa: Economic Freedom from an African Perspective, starting Nov. 18, 2005.  The workshop is sponsored by Omani Centre for Investment Promotion Export. He will the head to Addis Ababa Ethiopia for an African Union on governance in Africa. He will also officially open the Third Africa Resource Bank meeting on Nov. 28. The focus of this year\'s meeting is on how business can conquer poverty in Africa.
