Africa: Panacea to Her Own Woes

African states are still haunted by the Colonial ghost but Ghana has embarked on a long journey of exorcising this ghost. The result of the Tamale policy forum is part of the emerging Ghanaian renaissance where cultural values are awakened in the development process. As Ghana does this, Liberians vent their frustration. Is it Liberia’s dawn of a new day or an extension of the previous corrupt regime? Meanwhile, the pangs of drought continue to bite Niger but does Niger really need help?

What is the place of time in development? Does disrespecting time lead to wealth erosion? What wisdom can ants give us if viewed from the perspective of the outsider? A great man once said, \"The best way to hide something from Black people is to put it in a book.\" Is this true for Africa?

Let the guns implode, the wooden barrels decompose to fertilize a vibrant agriculture, and the metallic barrels and structures melted for industrialization. Let the ensuing abundance fill up the greedy and the rest of society for the complete healing of Africa.
