Published on 26th August 2014

Top 35 African youth participants in the ongoing agribusiness competition (agribiz4africa) jet in Nairobi this week for a business competition set for August 29, 2014. The youth from 6 African countries, Kenya, Rwanda, Benin, Cameroon, Nigeria and Ghana converge to explore opportunities in enterprise development in selected agricultural crop value chains. Over 800 participants from 18 countries across Sub Saharan Africa submitted business ideas and video entries via the online platform agribiz4Africa.com. They were judged by leading academia in agribusiness and top communication experts from Africa.

The Agribiz4africa platform evolved through the partnership between Syngenta and Enactus Kenya. The Nairobi event will identify Top 6 Africans under 30 to present the message of African Youth during the Africa Green Revolution Forum 2014 set for Addis Ababa, Ethiopia early next month. To transform Africa’s youthful population into a demographic dividend; organizations must take proactive steps to give young people avenues to explore opportunities. We welcome Top 35 Africans under 30 to Nairobi, Kenya for the www.agribiz4africa.com competition.
