Why Not Scale Up Enterprise in Third World Countries?

A small holder farmer spends an estimated 400 hours to control weeds in a hectare of land using a hand-held-hoe. According to Crop Life Foundation small holder farmers utilize an estimated 100 million hectares of land in Africa, which equates to 40 billion hours spent by women and children in weed control.

Use of technology can cut down the amount of time spent on weed control by 99%. The benefits are enormous, children will get more time to play and go to school. Women will get more time to engage in business and other enterprising activities. Families will be fed.
