The meeting noted among other issues that there is need for a balanced scientific study on issues addressed by the Alcoholic Drinks Control Act 2010. Furthermore, the urgent need to have a joint approach (Government, Industry, Civil Society, non-direct alcohol consumers) in communicating issues of responsible alcohol consumption was raised. Participants also observed that the informal brewing sector be brought on board. The meeting tasked IREN to convene a second Round Table on July 15, 2011.
