In a brief address preceding the ceremony, the chief expressed his profound gratitude to Nana Oboafo Professor Ayittey Mante II (known as Professor George Ayittey) for the frantic efforts he has been making to rid the town of mosquitoes and malaria.
Last year, the University don donated treated mosquito nets to the inhabitants of the town, Nkyenenkyene and Yawkoko, all villages in the Eastern Region. In addition, the communities were sprayed and mosquito-infested ponds drained at Yawkoko.
Swearing the oath of allegiance to the Teacher Mante Chief, the newly-enstooled Nkosuohene assured the people of his readiness to respond to their call in their development efforts.
Addressing the large gathering before his enstoolment, Professor Ayittey disclosed that a credit loan facility of 500,000 cedis each to 100 people was going to be made available to alleviate their economic hardship.

According to him, the extend of help being festooned on Teacher Mante was made possible by a survey conducted by Mr. G.B.K. Owusu, local coordinator of the Free Africa Foundation Project," who doubles as the Public Relations Officer of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana.

He asserted that apart from Teacher Mante, a friend of his by the name of Joy Borra, was constructing a 100 million cedi school library for Nkyenenkyene. The Associate Professor said he was going to establish macro-livestock farms at Teacher Mante, Yawkoko, and Nkyenenkyene hence creating jobs for the jobless.
The Assemblyman for Teacher Mante, Mr. Edward Amadi Antwi, urged Prof. Ayittey to be instrumental in supplying electricity and potable water to the town. According to him, the
Mr. Martin Ofori Owura, Ayensuano Constituency New Patriotic Party (NPP) Secretary, who stood in for his Member of Parliament (MP), thanked both Mr. GBK Owusu and Prof. Ayittey for their goodwill towards the town. He admonished the people to be environmentally conscious by keeping their surroundings tidy.
Earlier, Professor Ayittey had donated Odomos Mosquito Repellents and anti-malarial drugs to the inhabitants of Yawkoko. Similar cream, drugs, and treated mosquito nets were once again donated to the people of Teacher Mante.
