The African Executive joins Africa and world leaders in  offering heartfelt condolences to the people of Ethiopia on the occassion of  the passing on of  Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi at 57.

Meles' country is  host to the African Union (AU) headquarters in Addis Ababa. Meles will be remembered  for his diplomatic role as peace-maker between Sudan and South Sudan and his support for the fight against Somalia's al-Qaeda-linked Shabaab insurgents.
