The Inter Region Economic Network (IREN) invites thought leaders from business, public policy, military, think tanks and academia to the 3rd IREN Think Tank Forum for Eastern Africa Thought Leaders on “African Indigenous Games of Strategy.” The forum is keen to identify and discuss African indigenous games similar to Chess and Chinese “Go.”
The 3rd IREN Think Tank Forum for Eastern Africa Thought Leaders is open to interested individuals who think outside the box. The forum will:
•Map out African indigenous games of strategy
•Identify elements of strategy in African indigenous games
•Discuss application of strategic elements identified to business and development in Africa
Interested participants are asked to send their letters of interest and one paragraph describing a unique approach they propose to bring on the table. 25 participants will be selected. Background
The Inter Region Economic Network (IREN) initiated an Eastern Africa Thought Leaders forum in August 2011 to identify strategies to enable East Africans organically evolve their own socio-economic and political systems and to nurture futuristic thinkers. Previous forums focused on how East Africans can position themselves to benefit from the Cape to Cairo Free Trade Zone and essential elements for African leadership in the global jungle.
