Inter Region Economic Network will discuss this topic during the 13th IREN Africa Resource Bank Meeting.
The 4 objectives of this forum are:-
1. African Agency in Geopolitical Affairs
•Asses Africa’s participation in geopolitics
•Determine whether Africans have a sustained track record of assertive high level of engagement with the rest of the world
2. Peace and Security
•Asses Africa’s role in securing its own borders and space
•Africans role in ensuring peace and security
3. Industry, Trade and Investments
•Asses intra-Africa trade and investments
•Analyze Africa’s industrial potential and capabilities for the future
4. Media
•Discuss possibilities for Afro-centric analysis of geopolitical narratives
•Asses the role of civil society in driving narratives
Participants who wish to make a presentation should indicate the topic they wish to present on. The topic should be based on any of the four objectives above. Participation is by invitation only. The Africa Resource Bank (ARB) is a network of organizations and individuals with an objective of promoting concepts that will enhance economic freedom and wealth creation in Africa. Launched in 2003, the annual event brings together academicians, policy makers, economists, business people, civil societies and think tank representatives from all over the world to deliberate on how to cause increased productivity in Africa.
