IREN Celebrates Culture and Launches Jua Kali Training Facility

The 11th IREN Bukura Enterprise Exhibition and Cultural Fair & Launch of Jua Kali Training Facility at Lukaka Enterprise Center 

Inter Region Economic Network (IREN), a leading independent African think tank that prepare investor ready enterprises and promotes ideas and strategies geared towards causing prosperity in Africa through free enterprise and sound public policy will hold its 11th IREN Bukura Enterprise Exhibition and Cultural Fair on December 18 - 19, 2015, at Bukura Primary School.

This year’s event will feature the receiving of Car & General (Kenya) Ltd donation of engines to Lukaka Enterprise Center. Car & General (Kenya) Ltd is will sign an agreement of cooperation with IREN to facilitate for technical training for “Jua Kali” artisans and business training by IREN. The second day will feature over 30 agribusiness related enterprise exhibitions, Luhya cultural dances, sports and culinary arts competitions.

Objectives

• To harness youth talent positively with a view of improving their livelihoods,
• Facilitate positive exposure for young people in Western Kenya and
• Broaden young people’s mission and vision in life.
• Prepare investor-ready entrepreneurs 

The highlights of the event will include

1. December 18, 2015 (11. 00am) Donation of engines for training to Lukaka ACK Enterprise Center by Car and General (Kenya) Ltd.
2. December 18, 2015 (2.00 pm) Training of Exhibitors at Bukura ATC
3. December 19, 2015 (9.00 am- 4. 30 pm) Cultural Event and Trade Fair at Bukura Primary School

The 11th IREN Bukura Enterprise Exhibition and Cultural Fair has been done for the last 10 years in the month of December and has brought together people of all classes and from different counties. They include teachers, university lectures, business people, artists, government offices, religious groups, students and cultural troupes among others.
